What post-processing operations are common for extruded aluminum profiles?

Extruded profiles often undergo several post-processing steps:

    • Cutting: To precise lengths (sawing, machining).
    • Drilling & Tapping: For mounting holes.
    • Milling/CNC Machining: For precise end features, slots, or complex geometries not possible in the extrusion.
    • Surface Finishing:
      • Anodizing (clear or colored).
      • Powder Coating for thicker, colored, textured finishes.
      • Polishing/Brushing for a decorative mechanical finish.
      • Sandblasting for a uniform matte texture.
    • Heat Treatment (Aging): To achieve T5 or T6 temper.
    • Assembly & Kitting: With fasteners or other components.
